Only Connect Oslo is a major festival for new and experimental music presented by nyMusikk, featuring world premieres, interdisciplinary performances, and innovative projects that connect contemporary musicians and audiences across borders.

The Festival Academy at Only Connect Oslo 2026 is an intensive workshop held in collaboration with the internationally renowned JACK Quartet and led by composer Kristine Tjøgersen. Taking place on 26 April, following the main festival (23–25 April), the Academy brings together four selected composers for a focused day of artistic exchange.

Participants take part in a digital preparatory session with Kristine Tjøgersen, followed by a full-day seminar in which JACK Quartet performs, records, and provides feedback on each composer’s string quartet.
