The precept.concept.percept residency focuses on a collaborative creative process where performers and composers work closely together to prepare for a performance at the sixth Bled Contemporary Music Week (Bled, Slovenia, EU). Composers present, optimize, theorize, and develop new works, while performers form an ensemble to refine their practice and premiere these compositions.
Hamlet? will be premiered as part of soprano Helen Tyssekvam’s final master recital at the University Aula, University of Bergen. The work forms part of Tyssekvam’s artistic research, exploring character interpretation and intuition within an ensemble context, and draws inspiration from Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
ABYSS Double Bass Quartet and Ny Musikk Komponistfgruppe (NMK) have invited seven composers to create new works for double bass quartet, focusing on the instrument’s unique sonic, physical, and performative possibilities. The Festival Academy at Only Connect Oslo 2026 is an intensive workshop held in collaboration with the internationally renowned JACK Quartet and led by composer Kristine Tjøgersen. Taking place on 26 April, following the main festival (23–25 April), the Academy brings together four selected composers for a focused day of artistic exchange.

Soundstreams’ Bridges: Emerging Composers Program is an annual week-long tuition-free program that brings together celebrated mentors, a professional resident ensemble, and six emerging composers from around the world to each develop and premiere a new work, presented as part of Soundstreams’ main stage concert series in Toronto, ON.
The project centers on renowned koto performer Fukuhara Sawako, a leading figure within the Ikuta-ryu tradition whose work spans contemporary music, Japanese folk music, classical and modern repertoire, and intercultural collaborations. The program showcased new works by Jakob Glans, Ferdinand Schwarz, Mathieu Lacroix, Martin Korssletten, Tale Vang Ellefsen, and one additional NMK composer, each offering distinct perspectives on the instrument’s sonic and expressive possibilities.
Between stillness and quiet unrest, 'Blue, tense', explores the unspoken and fragility of Fabienne Raphoz' poem 'Morpho bleu'. During the Voix Nouvelles Academy at Royaumont, singers, composers, conductors, and vocal ensembles worked together in a shared creative laboratory. The program focused on vocality, composition, and improvisation through collaborative exploration guided by artists such as Raquel Camarinha, Juliet Fraser, Elaine Mitchener, Neue Vocalsolisten, Ensemble Aedes, Ensemble Orbis, and composers Frédéric Durieux and George Lewis.
The LIVE SPACE project coordinated by Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is an international creative workshop designed to offer training for performers and creators of electronic and electroacoustic music, addressing the demands of a changing society. The main focus of this project is on equipping participants with the skills and practical knowledge necessary for creating and performing electroacoustic music in different spaces with different 3D audio setups. It emphasizes the development of artistic projects and co-creation, exploring the role of musicians as contributors to society and cultural landscapes.
Following a week-long workshop, Faintly, yet I was premiered alongside other works in the final concert of the Euterpe Project at the Ionian Academy’s Concert Hall on the 26th of March 2025.
Taking place in the inspiring scenery of Corfu, March 21st–26th, 2025, the in-person gathering will offer composers and flutists the chance to refine their works and enhance their performances. Alongside intensive rehearsals, participants will engage in workshops, masterclasses, interactive lectures, supervised rehearsals, discussions, and concerts—all designed to foster creative growth, deepen understanding of the music-making process, and strengthen interpretations.

This event is a collaboration between Ny Musikk Bergen and the Grieg Academy by Associate Professor Stylianos Dimou, focusing on new music that resonates with the ensemble.
Concept Store Quartet is an ensemble based in Basel. Despite the conceivably inhomogeneous line-up, the group creates new worlds of sound that have proven to be an unexpectedly inspiring source for both emerging and established composers.
Reliquae opens a door to the past, to what remains and what may grow through the cracks. The samples I recorded come from two fairly old and neglected instruments (a grand piano and a harpeleik zither) whose sound qualities have been altered by age, use and some digital processing.
The academy brings together composers and performers for an intensive program of masterclasses, workshops, lectures, rehearsals, and individual sessions, culminating in final concerts featuring the premieres of all new works. Participants worked closely with tutors Dániel Péter Biró, Chaya Czernowin, Jakob Gruchmann, José María Sánchez-Verdú, and Hakan Ulus, in collaboration with resident musicians from Schallfeld Ensemble and violist Aida-Carmen Soanea.
Participated in a seven-day intensive at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre focused on immersive audio and video creation. Composed, recorded, edited, and mixed material using third-order ambisonics, resulting in a collaborative piece combining 180° visuals and ambisonic sound, created together with Toralf Willy Nørbech, Matas Samulionis, Kristaps Diura, Marleena Maliniemi, and Henri Sakari Virtanen under the supervision of Palle Dahlstedt.

Ana Maria Oancea is a Romanian composer and interdisciplinary artist based in Bergen, Norway. She works with chamber music, opera, immersive sound, and cross-disciplinary projects, often combining text, theatricality, and electroacoustic media.
